Pasadena Strawberry Festival

Is it just me, or are the organizers of this thing geniuses at extracting money from their patrons?
I have to admit, it was fun. The band was good, and there were plenty of interesting things to do and see.
But I normally hold events like this accountable to one of two standards. Either charge an admission fee and have reasonably priced activities or don’t charge an admission fee and have expensive activities. In this case, I think the Pasadena Strawberry Festival of 2011 failed.
